Luke is a Mana Comber, which is someone who searches the forest to collect leftover manaa people leave behind. He tells the player its important not to leave any lying around as it can damage fragile plants and insects. He talks about his job like he enjoys what he does, but he also talks about not living to work, but working to live and keep balance.
Luke has brown hair and various green tattoos on his body. He wears a scarf over his mouth, no shirt, and brown pants.
Once specific relationship levels are reached, Luke will send mail to the player which can be collected from the farm's mailbox.
Relationship Level 5
You remind me of Vaan, you know that? Always in and out of the village. Having one guy like Vaan hanging around was bad enough, but now the two of you? And now I can't help but think of you as a friend. Argh, if this gets any worse I'm going to be leaving the village myself to explore. I'm too lazy for stuff like that. So thanks a lot, I think?

Dialogue
Introduction
When speaking to Luke for the first time in a new game:
What is this that my Elf eyes see? A stranger, here in Nel'Vari?
Player:
Er, that's right. I'm [Player], I come from Sun Haven.
Sun Haven? That Human settlement that Vaan is always talking about? Now this is interesting. My name is Luke, since you were kind enough to give me your own.
General Dialogue
General non-conversational dialogue between Luke and the player. If there is a seasonal token at the end of the dialogue, it means the player can only see that dialogue during that season.
:"A farmer, huh? No offense, but if you're working hard in life then you're doing something wrong."
:"So everyone outside Nel'Vari actually wears shoes on their feet all the time? That's rough."
:"You came here to talk to Nivara? Good luck, she'll only try to get you to do work."
:"You want to see what's under my scarf? No way!"
:"I think I'll do fruit for dinner tonight. Or maybe mushrooms. Eh, why not both?"
Conversations
Cycle 1
:
Hi [Player]. Be sure to draw plenty of mana orbs today, alright?
Player:
Are you friends with Vaan?
:
Me and Vaan get along pretty well. He's one of the few other people in Nel'Vari who seems to appreciate taking it slow. I mean to say we don't work too hard.
Player:
Only you can choose the best way to live your life. +2 Points
:
That's the kind of attitude I'm talking about. I wasn't too sure how I felt about you before, but you're an alright person, [Player].
Player:
You should work hard if that's what is expected of you. -1 Points
:
No way. They say rivers take the path of least resistance. If it's good enough for rivers, it's good enough for me.
Player:
Why do you want me to draw mana orbs?
:
I'm a mana comber. I search the forest and collect the mana people leave behind. It's important not to leave mana lying around, you know. No matter how careful someone is, they're bound to accidentally leave some leftover mana.
Player:
You've been stealing my mana orbs?
:
No no, nothing like that! It's only the mana you left behind. It can be found everywhere if you know how to look for it. In fact, gathering leftover mana is important to protecting fragile plants and insects. Just think of me as another part of the ecosystem!
Player:
How do you leave mana behind?
:
When you draw mana orbs from nature, you don't get every last bit. Some gets left behind, but I know how to find it. In fact, gathering leftover mana is important to protecting fragile plants and insects. Just think of me as another part of the ecosystem!
