Grep is a pirate frog amari who lives in Brinestone Deeps. The player can first encounter him either outside of Brinestone's tavern or inside the armor store. He is initially inflicted by a mind-control slug.
Grep has emerald green skin with a lighter green chin, protruding crimson cheeks, and golden-yellow eyes. He wears a white shirt with ruched cuffs that stick out from under his fire-brick red, buttonless overcoat. The coat is trimmed with gold and he dons a matching colored tricorn-like hat that is in the shape of a lily pad. The hat has three vermillion kelp-like feathers sticking out of it. In his right hand, he carries and walks with a wooden cane with a crimson knob-handle.
Grep currently has only one schedule that he follows, regardless if it is sunny or rainy.

Dialogue
Introduction
When speaking to Grep for the first time in a new game:
Hey, you saved the town! I didn't think Karish was capable of doing something so heroic. I guess he needed someone like you to keep his head steady. You guys made a great team!
Player:
Don't mention it. I was happy to help.
Boy are we lucky you showed up! We'd all be slaves to some nefarious plot otherwise.
General Dialogue
General non-conversational dialogue between Grep and the player. If there is a token at the end of the dialogue, it means the player can only see that dialogue under those conditions.
:"Did you come... To join us? We always... Need more... "
:"I could really go for a juicy grub right now."
:"Being a pirate is all fun and games, until you're wanted in every land..."
:"Lookin' to share a drink, dry-lander? You can get the tab!"
:"The brine really dries out my skin."
:"I wonder how my brother is doing..."

Cycle 1
:
How's the brine treating you, dry-lander? It can't be easy for someone like you to tolerate a place like The Deeps.
Player:
What's so bad about The Deeps?
:
Nothing is bad, but it's a bit of a change of scenery from the surface. No green grass or tall trees, just... The Deeps! No lily pads, or buzzing bugs, either...
Player:
Are you from the surface?
:
Yup. I'm from up top myself. I used to live in a quiet little Elven village with a brother of mine. But I got involved with some bad people and, well... Life brought me here. Funny how things work, eh?
Player:
You sound like you're not from The Deeps either.
:
Yup. I'm from up top. I used to live in a quiet little Elven village with a brother of mine. But I got involved with some bad people and, well... Life brought me here. Funny how things work, eh?
Player:
It didn't take long to adjust to The Deeps.
:
Heheh, speak for yourself. Some people come down here and can't stand it for more than a minute. Others come down here and never leave. How about it, dry-lander? Does being down here make you miss your cozy home on land?
Player:
I do miss the grass, and trees, and cows...
:
Well then get your business done and get back to the good stuff! Why waste time talking to an old croaker like me?
Player:
No way. I wish I could live down here forever!
:
Really? You were forged for the fathoms after all, I suppose. I've never seen someone so eager to live in a place like this before, that's for sure...
