Faeyon Tarrin is a Watcher, someone who records the history of the world without altering it. Faeyon reports she has been watching the development of Withergate for years, and that anything could still happen as the city grows.
Faeyon has long brown hair, with a pale yellow halo and wings. She carries a spear, and wears iron armor with blue and gold trimmings.
Once specific relationship levels are reached, Faeyon will send mail to the player which can be collected from the farm's mailbox.
Relationship Level 5
Observing these streets of darkness has not been my most enjoyable task. The Monsterfolk are crude, brash and loud. The Demons are... Demons. There is a balance here, however. Life flourishes and changes. I am glad to count you among my friends, [Player]. You are a good, strong person. We stand on the cusp of a radically new world. It will need people like you to keep the order in it. Remember that for me, won't you?
-Faeyon Tarrin
Dialogue
Introduction
When speaking to Faeyon for the first time in a new game:
So you managed to find your way into town after all? I saw you walking through the fog earlier. I'm Faeyon Tarrin, but you may call me Faeyon.
Player:
Good to meet you Faeyon. I'm [Player].
[Player], welcome to Withergate. This city is an oddity, as you'll see. I'm curious to know how you'll get along here.
General Dialogue
General non-conversational dialogue between Faeyon and the player. If there is a seasonal token at the end of the dialogue, it means the player can only see that dialogue during that season.
:"I was taught that the strong watch over the vulnerable. Though, I'm not quite sure if that's how it works here."
:"We could use more of your type in this city."
:"The monsterfolk here are endlessly resourceful. I never know what to expect from them."
:"This permanent darkness... I'm still not quite used to that."
:"Angels have pledged themselves to the betterment of all races. You know, I peek in on Sun Haven from time to time too!"
:"Angelkind aren't usually the type for combat - I guess I'm just not like the other Angels."
Conversations
Cycle 1
:
You must be wondering, "What's an Angel doing here?" As a Watcher, it's my mission to observe the world and its activity. Especially in places like this.
Player:
What's a "Watcher?"
:
To some degree, all Angels are sworn Watchers. We record the history of the world without altering it ourselves. Think of us merely as historians. But even so, I find that I can at least give a little help to vulnerable people, like some of the citizens here.
Player:
You should help whenever you can. +2 Points
:
In my heart, I agree. But my cultural oath demands that I stay impartial. I suppose the task of protecting the weak falls on the shoulders of righteous adventurers like yourself!
Player:
Upholding tradition is important. -1 Points
:
Yes, but I still wish I could help more directly. I envy your kind - those not tethered to the laws of your culture.
Player:
What did you mean when you said "places like this?"
:
Withergate is still relatively new as a city. It's too early to tell what will become of it. From what I've seen over the past few years, though, anything can happen here.
Player:
Why do you think anything could happen here?
:
This city is full of monsterfolk from all over the world. Monsterfolk aren't all that dangerous, but they can be unpredictable. Just look at what they've done in one short decade - the lights, the buildings... it's unlike anything I've ever seen.
Player:
You've been here for years?
:
Yes I have. It doesn't feel that long to an experienced watcher - we are trained to withstand the passing of time. We have to stay sharp if we're to be impartial observers, after all.
