Sun Haven

Sun Haven is the primary town in the game, which the player moves to after leaving the Great City. The game begins here. Most of its residents are Humans. Despite having fallen on hard times by the time the player arrives, Sun Haven retains its reputation as a destination for those looking to find themselves, as well as a popular tourist and traveler's destination.

Locations

Sun Haven is split into several areas. The main area is the Sun Haven Town Center, where the Town Hall, Library, Museum, Hospital, and many of the shops are located. The residences of Giuseppe/Tonya/Topi and Kara/Pod's are located here. Catherine and Lynn also have personal residences here.

Due west of the main town is the player's Farm, and beyond that, the Western Forest. Due east is a canyon path leading to Solon's Smithery, Sun Haven Mines, and a small quarry. South of town leads to a small river area with Wornhardt's House and many forageables. The bridge in the area south of town also provides access to the Beach and Peter's Fishing Store.

Across the bridge to the northeast lie the Tavern and Anne's House. Beyond that is one more screen that leads east to the East Forest as well as south to the Bunny Orchard/Apiary (initially blocked by a Snaccoon, but only during Spring). There are two roads on each side of Town Hall that run north: the road on the right leads to a small area containing the Record Store, Pet Store, and Cafe; and the road on the left leads to the Barracks and, beyond that, the North Forest. Located northwest is a more rural appearing area that contains the Animal Store, Bakery, as well as the houses of Lucia, Jun, Kitty, Liam, and Claude. North of that area is a grove that contains a locked treasure chest and some developer-added acknowledgements. South of the rural area is a path that leads to the player's farm (it is initially blocked by a Snaccoon on the farm's side, but only during Spring).

Town Stores

All shops and stalls are open from 8am to 8pm. The Cafe, Clothing Store, and Salon all require the player to repair their buildings before they can open.

Areas of Interest

There are a few other structures around Sun Haven that the player can interact with. There are several ponds and rivers that can be fished. There are also several fruit trees, berries, and Water Crystals that regenerate and can be harvested.

  • Sun Haven Bulletin Board: Located between the General Store and Farming Store, where the player can accept quests from Sun Haven's residents and view the town's calendar. The calendar lists birthdays for all romanceable residents, regardless of their home region. The player may accept 2 quests per day, which can be canceled/failed after accepting with no penalty.
  • Clive's Taxi Service: Located east of Kara's house (after a quest chain in the East Forest is completed), this provides fast travel to and from the East Forest for 200 Coins.png.
  • Elios Fountain: Located in the Town Square (south of the Town Hall), the player can interact with this once a week to receive a blessing from Elios, which permanently increases their maximum mana by increments of 4.

With the skill Scavenger Hunt, Golden Pomegranates will spawn randomly around Sun Haven town and the surrounding forests. Once one is picked, the others that spawned that day disappear for the remainder of the day.

Homes

Residents

Sun Haven is home to the majority of NPCs in the game, with 14 of the 21 marriage candidates and many other non-romanceable, but friendable, residents. There are also several named and unnamed NPCs who can be interacted with but not befriended.

History and Lore

When the dragon Elios perched upon the cliff at Dragons Meet, he attracted followers—some of the first Humans—who traveled there to listen to Elios's teachings and settled at the base of Dragons Meet, thus founding the town. Elios himself is said to have named the town "Haven of the Sun" or "Sun Haven". According to the books, Elios's Blessings are to thank for the town's prosperity.
