Mining
Mining can be done at all three farms (stone/heavystone does not respawn on farms), in all three of the mines, in the Quarry (just east of the Sun Haven Mines), in the Sandstone Quarry (north of the Sun Haven Barracks), and in the Nel'Vari/Withergate forests. Monsters can also be found in forests and in the mine. Simply select and aim the proper tool towards your desired rock, while standing near it, and left-click your mouse, holding to continue mining the same rock. Once its HP bar is drained, it will break and produce some items that you can automatically take if you are nearby.
Mining can also be done with the aid of magic spells like 
Vacuumulus, a powerful vortex-like spell that radiates outward like a bubble to destroy and collect nearby rocks and/or damage monsters! To enter/exit the mine, or to change your floor, simply enter the minecart by standing near it and pressing your interact key.
Gems, ores, and other mining products can be used in crafting, as gifts, and in some quests. Ores can be used in a

to make other items including:
- Keys to permanently unlock levels in the mine as well as unlocking treasure chests in the towns
- Equipment for use on your character for stat bonuses, such as armor
- Weapons such as Swords and Crossbows
- Tools to aid you in your farming, mining, etc.

Experience Points
The player will earn most of their experience points from actively mining ore in any of the mines, however, many quests also give mining experience as a reward (or bonus reward).

The mining skill tree gives the player many abilities to help gather, refine, and use various stones and ore the player will come across on their mining adventures.

Some recipes for items will unlock as the player progresses through the skill, and reaches a certain level of that skill.
