Fishing
Fish can be seen as two different size shadows in bodies of water. Fish spawns are decided by location and season; time of day and weather do not impact what types of fish spawn in the various areas. To catch fish the player will need a fishing rod and cast out their line towards the fish shadows in the water.
To cast a fishing rod, the player must hold down the LMB (left mouse button). The mouse cursor will indicate the direction in which the line will be cast (up, down, left, right). The meter that appears indicates how far the line will be cast. Releasing the LMB also releases the line.
Attached to the end of the line is the bobber. If a fish bites, the bobber may wiggle several times. To catch the fish, press the LMB when the bobber fully submerges with a louder sound indicator. This will begin the fishing mini game. The fish may escape at times, however once a fish is caught, the player holds it whilst displaying the information of the catch.
If the player hits the "sweet spot", which is an optional smaller target area, they will be rewarded with 30% bonus base fish experience. This bonus does not increase the flat Fishing EXP Bonus from skills.

Each fish will give the player various amounts of Fishing 
. The higher in rarity the fish, the more experience that specific catch will provide for the player. View the individual fish pages to see how much each fish is worth.

Some recipes for items will unlock as the player progresses through the skill, and reaches a certain level of that skill.

Equipment
Fishing Nets
Fishing nets can be purchased from Peter at his store on Sun Haven Beach or crafted at a Loom. There are two sizes, small and large, which catch different fish.

Fishing Bait
Fishing bait can be crafted by using worms and other craftables at a Composter, Mana Composter, & Monster Composter. Consuming a fishing bait adds fishing related buffs to the player.
Fishing Rods
Fishing rods are the main tool used in actively catching fish. The player is given a Basic Fishing Rod as part one of the first quests in the game. Most fishing rods give a specific benefit to the player, like increasing their fishing skill, reducing the difficulty of the fishing mini game, or adding gold to each fish caught.

Sun Haven
Sun Haven has six different fishing zones within its region, where different types of fish can spawn.
