Equipment

From Sun Haven Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Equipment refers to your or another player items that can be worn or used.

Some equipment can also be used for quests or sold for profit. A player can equip both cosmetic items and gear items at the same time. Stat bearing equipment does not provide said stats when equipped in the cosmetics slots. However, this can be used to carry two armor sets around without using inventory space.

Armor & Clothing

Players are able to wear armor and clothing at the same time. The main difference is that clothing is purely cosmetic while armor changes the players stats, such as Health.png Health and Mana.png Mana. Upon opening the inventory screen, players will be presented with a screen where they can change their armor and clothing and also (de)activate cosmetic changes caused by clothing.

Slots

Both clothing and armor have slots, which can be filled with items:

  • Head
  • Chest
  • Hands
  • Legs

Additionally, there are also slots for Capes (which are mainly cosmetic, although a few exist with stats), as well as Rings (x2), Keepsakes and Amulets.

Armor

Armor is worn in order to gain the benefits of their defensive properties. Aside from raising the players Health.png Health and Defense.png Defense values, some armor pieces also increase other Stats, such as Spell Damage.png Spell Damage. Armor exists in four categories: Helmet, Chest, Gloves and Legs.

Accessories

Accessories give the player additional benefits, but will not be displayed on the player's character. The player is allowed one keepsake, one amulet, and two rings at a time.

Weapons

Weapons fit in the hotkey bar and can be used when that hotkey has been used followed by an action, this allows for the player to quickly swap from one weapon to another without opening an inventory screen.

After the basic training quest at the Barracks in Sun Haven, the player will be given the choice of a free weapon, either a basic Copper Sword or a basic Crossbow. The player can obtain the other of the two later via crafting or buying.

Swords

Swords are melee weapons swung in a sweeping arc to hit multiple enemies in the direction of the player's choosing (via the mouse cursor's relation to the player).

Crossbows

Crossbows are ranged weapons capable of firing bolts (equivalant to arrows). Most crossbows are available in the Elven village of Nel'Vari. Putting skill points into crossbows heavily increases the amount of damage, arrows fired and even adds elements passively.
