Fire Crystals are resources used in a variety of different recipes when crafting. Players can find fire crystals in a few different ways. Foraging is considered the most common way, and the quickest way early on in the game. The player can find them easily on the ground quite often around the ascent or on floors 21-30 in the Sun Haven Mines, though they can be found with less frequency on upper floors. The player can also accumulate these crystals by planting Fire Fruit on their Nel'Vari Farm. If the player plants at least 10, a fire sprite will spawn, giving the player fire crystals every day they visit.

The player can earn a free fire crystal by interacting with the fire that is directly in front of Vivi's House.

When the player unlocks the Crystal Collector skill in the mining skill tree, enemies in the mines have a 25% chance to drop a fire crystal when slain, up to ten crystals a day with the skill maxed out.
