Bubble Net
Bubble Net is an active skill that automatically catches all Fish in the direction you cast it. The Fishing minigame is skipped, but all bonuses (such as Fishing EXP Bonus) still apply as if the fish was caught via rod. Can only be cast in the cardinal directions (North/East/South/West), not diagonally. Fish will only be added to the player's backpack at the end of the spell, meaning if you leave the area early the fish will be lost. It's possible to consistently catch 3-4 fish per spell cast, landing an incredible amount of fish and profits with the right skills. With the Self Sustaining and Arcane Mastery skills, the player will regain around 33 mana on catching 3 fish, putting the mana cost at only 17 at max level.
Some fishing holes spawn fish in convenient areas for this spell, such as the dock above Kitty's House, and the dock below Lynn's House. Other areas such as the Beach make it difficult to optimise this spell as the fish are spread out around the entire map. This spell also benefits from setting the game speed to as fast as possible (15 minutes) - as it increases the chance of more fish spawning underneath the bubble as it travels.
Sometimes, fish will appear visually stuck in the air if the spell expires before the catching animation completes, but this is just a visual bug. The fish have been safely deposited in the backpack.
This spell will never catch items for the Museum fishing bundle.
Skill Synergies
There are many skills that when combined together will produce a greater effect than the singular skill alone. This could be to maximize profits, improve various abilities, or quality of life increases.
- Self Sustaining - Catching any fish restores 5/7/9 mana.
- Twin Hooks - Grants a 3/6/9% chance to reel in a second fish with your catch.
- Bonding Experience - Increases the fishing experience gained from catching fish by 3/5/7.
- Spawning Season - Increases spawn rate of all fish by 10/15/20%.
- Lost Booty - Grants a 3/5/7% chance to pull up a treasure chest when catching fish with a fishing rod.
- Arcane Mastery - Increases maximum mana by 2/4/6%. After spending mana, recover 4/8/12% of the mana spent.
