This page lists the dates and events the player has with Darius. Each event will be available to the player for one in game hour. If the player misses one of the events they cannot re-do them.

Hangout Event

This event triggers from the cycle 9 dialogue. Darius will ask the player to meet them at the carnival Ferris wheel the following day at 5pm.

:	[Player], I must admit this is an unusual situation for me. I have been on very few romantic dates in my time, believe it or not. There simply aren't many people that can match me. I consider myself lucky to have found someone of value, like yourself, to spend time with.
Player:	I'm the one who's lucky, my prince. I'm honored to be your guest.
:	You're more than my guest, [Player]. You're my companion. Having you atop the castle with me, with all of Withergate sprawled before us... I feel invincible.
Player:		You might as well be invincible here. +2 Points
:			I'm intoxicated by the feeling. I never thought Withergate would grow to this scale... I also never thought I would be seen on a date with a farmer.
Player:		Nobody is invincible, not even you. -1 Points
:			Of course I know that. Do you think me a fool, truly?
:	Well [Player], you have me here all to yourself - a position few people have ever found themselves in. Isn't there anything you'd like to know?
Player:	How do you feel about your father, honestly?
:	Ah... I should have known you wouldn't hold back. I appreciate that about you. My relationship with my father is... complex. He has done wonderful work getting Withergate up and running. Although... He no longer feels necessary. Father enjoys the city, but has no mind to expand it. If you're asking me, I say it's time for a change of leadership so Withergate can grow even larger.
Player:		Isn't it disrespectful to talk about replacing your father? -1 Points
:			You asked for my honesty and you dare reprimand me for giving it? It's not your place to correct me or counsel my feelings, [Player].
Player:		That ambition will guide you to your future success. +2 Points
:			I was always told that my ambition was my strongest trait. I can even see Withergate, with lights stretching into the dark horizon...
:	Whatever happens in the future with Withergate or with me, I'd like to think I'll have people I can trust by my side. People like Xyla and Cordelia, but you most of all, [Player].
Player:		I feel the same about you, Darius.
Player:		I don't deserve such praise from you, my prince.
:	My family has seen the rise and fall of many rulers in our time. Angels, Elves, Humans... history is littered with those who seize power only to lose it. [Player], I see a promising future for us. If we're lucky, tonight will be the the first step on the road to a powerful union.
Player:		I'd be lucky to share a future with you. +2 Points
:			Luck has nothing to do with it. When you're royalty, you make your own luck.
Player:		I have no real interest in gaining power. -1 Points
:			Then you're more of a fool than I realized. Power is all there is, [Player]. Without it, we are no different from the rats in the sewers.
:	Unfortunately, I must end our engagement here as I have a prior commitment. Thank you, [Player]. This was the most fun I've had in a long while.
Player:		I had fun, too.
:			Goodnight, [Player].

:			Yes, heheh... until next time!

Date

This event triggers from the cycle 11 dialogue. Darius will ask the player to meet them outside of the apartment building tomorrow at 5pm.

:	This is where the prince of Withergate rests his head. What do you think?
Player:	Why is your crown hanging on the wall?
:	Oh, that... I choose not to wear it. I prefer the natural crown I was born with.
Player:		You were born with beautiful horns. +2 Points
:			Thank you [Player]. I'm glad that I can trust you with my candid thoughts without fear of... teasing.
Player:		That's silly - you're the prince! -1 Points
:			Don't you think I know who I am? Don't begin telling me what to do, [Player].
:	The truth of the matter is - and, this is not easy for me to say - I'm not so sure... I deserve the crown.
Player:	Didn't you tell me it was time for Withergate to have a change in leadership?
:	I did, and I believe that to be true. I just don't know if I'm the one who should take up the mantle.
Player:		Nonsense, you're every bit of a ruler as your father - and more. +2 Points
:			That means a lot coming from you. There's nobody whose opinion I value more than yours, [Player].
Player:		But you're Darius, the demon prince of Withergate! -1 Points
:			I know who I am. There's no need to repeat redundant details like a parrot.
:	I think it will take time, but for now I'm simply not ready to wear the crown.
Player:		Take all the time you need.
Player:		When the time is right, you'll know.
:	Thank you. [Player], I want you by my side. I mean, for good. Be with me and sit beside me when I eventually take the throne. You must accept my offer!
Player:		I don't think so, Darius. -4 Points
:			Your rejection... is unexpected. But I respect you nonetheless. Well, maybe a little less.
Player:		I happily accept, Darius! +4 Points
:			Of course you do! [Player], we will be unstoppable together. Withergate will know an era of prosperity never known before!
:	It grows so late, so quickly. I have to bid you farewell, XX. Tonight has been unlike any other.
Player:		I'll remember this night forever. +2 Points

:	You may stay, though I must apologize. There's no place to sit - I don't often entertain guests in my chambers.
Player:	Why don't you?
:	Nothing. Well. I met you, [Player]. Don't give me that look. Do you know what our enemies would do if they heard this?
Player:		(option 1) You like me that much?
Player:		(option 2) Wow, I must be pretty special!
:	You are precious to me, [Player]. I'm glad you've had the strength, and the beauty to come to me.
Player:		(option 1) I'm honored you feel that way.
Player:		(option 2) I'd do anything for you, Darius.
:	Come. I have something for you.
Player:	What is it?
Darius slips a hand around your chin, guiding you closer to him. Holding you close, he kisses you before letting you from his grasp.
:	I love you. And I'll make you mine, forever.
You and Darius share a few moments, some quiet and some loud, but you decide to leave before it gets too late.

Marriage

Pre-Ceremony

:	This is the happiest day of my life!
Player:		I can't wait to start our lives together. (This starts the ceremony.)
Player:		I want to meet with our guests a bit longer.

Ceremony

:	Quiet, please! Thank you. Now, let us begin. We gather here in order to celebrate the sacred bond between two radiant beings - [Player] and Darius, of Withergate. Today they join together as one and enter into this most intimate commitment. In marriage, they will find comfort and safety as they journey through a life made more beautiful by their love. To our soon-to-be-wed, I say this: make not a bond of love, but let your love carry you as the sea carries a ship, and let your happiness show as clear and visible as a white sail filled with wind. Darius, would you like to say a few words before the exchanging of vows?
:	This is a marriage ceremony better suited for the halls of Withergate's inner court, surrounded by powerful lords and ladies of Demonic nobility... But I did not choose you because you had noble blood - you've just the opposite, in fact. I will embrace everything about you, my love. I do not choose only you, but your home and people as well. Let the chattering nobles sit and wonder why none in the Court were good enough for me! I have set my eyes on a farmer from a Human town. My decision is all that matters.
:	Well spoken! So do you, Darius, take [Player] to be your wedded partner?
:	[Player], you came to my city an outsider. You return to it by my side as its future ruler. This ceremony is merely the beginning of our history - let us go and make the rest of it together. ...I do!
:	And now, [Player], I ask: Do you take Darius to be your wedded partner?
Player:		I do.
:			Darius, [Player], before these witnesses you have pledged to be joined in marriage. With the power granted to me by the officiating office of the Great City, I hereby declare you joined in matrimony. You may now seal this ceremony with a kiss!
Player:		I do not. (This will end the ceremony.)
:			Oh dear! This is ... very, very unfortunate.And awkward! Emmett, quickly... take everything down, get the guests out of here... ((Emmett, quickly! Pour the memory loss potion in the punch bowl... Make sure everyone has a drink before they leave... No one will have to remember a thing...)) ...Oh, um, excuse me, everyone! Let's all have some refreshments before we leave...!

Post-Ceremony

If the player talks to the various NPCs after the main ceremony, they will have different responses congratulating the player on their marriage.

:"It seems like just yesterday I was barging through your door for the first time... Now look at you!"

:"This is such a beautiful wedding, I told myself I wouldn't cry, but..."

:"Congratulations on the marriage. I couldn't imagine standing up in front of everyone and getting married like that."

:"Hey, good job on getting married. Hope you have lots of happy years together, and all that. So is there going to be any food, or..."

:"This is so different from an Elven wedding... Oh - still nice though!"

:"Oh, [Player]. I'm so happy for you! If you ever need any advice, you know where to go."

:"Fantastic ceremony! The love in the air is practically palpable."

:"Congratulations, congratulations! You make such a cute cute couple, nya!"

:"Emma and Elizabeth weren't too bothersome during the ceremony, were they? They were both so excited, they wouldn't stop fidgeting... Oh, and congratulations!"

:"Watching two of Sun Haven's citizens joined in matrimony is truly heartwarming. Congratulations, [Player]."

:"May your marriage be as beautiful and eternal as the moon!"

:"This is the biggest wedding I've ever been seen. It seems like half the town is here!"

:"W-what? Cry? I can't help it... I always cry at weddings...!"

:"Don't worry, I was on alert through the whole ceremony."

:"This is the start of a union between you and yours, [Player]. May it be a blessed and happy one."

:"Human ceremonies are so much more practical than Elven ones. It's funny how our cultures differ, even in celebration."

:"That's it? No one is even going to start a fight? Boooring."

:"Is that the end of the ceremony? Hm."

:"What a wonderful ceremony! It's good to have nice things like this to focus on. It's not just a special day for you, you know. The whole town is celebrating."

:"Well, [Player]. Here's to happy years with the person of your dreams."

:"You finally tied the knot, [Player]! I hope you have a happy marriage!"

:"Don't worry about the chairs, I'll gather them all up."

:"Looks like you landed the big fish!"

:"Days like this remind us what it means to be part of a community."

:"The best thing about marriage? Permanent workout partner! Hm, when is the last time Giuseppe joined me on a jog..."

:"Tonya ran a marathon the day after our wedding... I slept in."

:"Farmer! Are you going to have a baby now??"

:"Hello, farmer! Liam told us to say congratulations...... Congratulations!!"

:"Can we play games now?"

:"Do I have to get married like this someday, too?"

:"Here's to many happy years together!"

:	I was in the middle of important work, when I felt the pull of a strange force. I would have ignored it entirely, but it felt like it was coming from you, my dear. Is it children you've wished for? Well, [Player]? Is this the beginning of a new lineage in Withergate?
Player:	Let's do it.
:		The future is secure, [Player]. We will see a new era of power in Withergate rise right before our eyes. We'll share this glorious moment together, my love.
Your wish has been made. The magic of the wish will make your house ready for the new baby! Next time you sleep, the magic's powers will take hold…
Player:	Actually... I'm not ready yet.
:		I understand. Take your time, I will be ready when you are.
