The Spring Scarecrow protects any planted crops within its range from being stolen by baby dragons, the seasonal pest of spring. As the name suggests this scarecrow will only scare away spring pests, the player must place down the appropriate scarecrow for the season. Other scarecrows include summer, which protects from pirate raccoons, fall, which protects from draccoons, and winter, which protects the player's crops from winter rabbits.

Each scarecrow protects five tiles in each of the cardinal directions, protecting a total area of 11x11, which is up to 120 crops. When the player places down a scarecrow, they will see a light blue box around the crops that are within range.
