Origins of Dynus and Shadows, Book II is the second book in a series of five, related to the origins of Dynus and Withergate. If the player left clicks on the book while it is in their inventory, the book panel will open, allowing the player to read the novel.

There are two other book series similar to this one; Origins of the Grand Tree and Nivara and Origins of Sun Haven and Elios. All are needed for the same museum bundle.

❝ The dragon has picked a location, although I am very uncertain why. He makes his roost in shady boglands, and immediately encounters the land's inhabitants. Vicious beings who came to the terrestrial realm from another world, their tentacled mouths speaking only dark words. I have heard from other watchers that these alien creatures had taken up residence on the world sometime ago, and worked with shadow magic to transform captured natives into monsters. The dragon seems interested in the magic the aliens wield, though they clearly will not cooperate with him. In a show of power, he destroys the dark temples of the tentacled aliens and sends their enslaved monsterfolk fleeing into the swamps. Defeated in one fell swoop, the creatures quickly retreat. Where they went, no watcher seems to know. ❞
