Seeds

Summary

Seeds are necessary for players who wish to make use of their farming skill and allow the growth of crops, which then can either be sold or used further in cooking. Flowers can also be planted and either sold or used for Bee Boxes in order to gain honey. Fruit trees on the other hand allow the growth of fruit, which then can be foraged by the player.

A variety of different seeds can be found in the Sun Haven universe. While some of them resemble the crops of the real world - such as Wheat or Corn, others are entirely fictitious and magical, such as Cinnaberries and Shimmeroot. Also some crops can be planted and harvested during any season of the year, while others are only available during one or two seasons and will die when grown during the wrong season.

Last but not least there are also differences between the available seeds found in Withergate and Nel'Vari. The seeds found in Withergate are rather monstrous or demonic in origin, such as the infamous Tombmelon and Snappy Plants, the ones found in Nel'Vari require a mana-dense soil in order to grow and being harvested, such as Cat Tails and Dragon Fruits.

Useage

There are two scenarios in which a seed can be planted. Crops and Flowers must be planted in tilled earth and grow every day they are watered. Tree seeds do not need to be planted in tilled earth, nor do they need to be watered. They grow every day and will produce fruit once fully grown.

Seeds can only be planted in the area they are sold within. This means Sun Haven seeds will not grow in Withergate, and so on. The exception to this, is if the player has a Totem that allows crops within 5 spaces to be grown, based on the type of totem.

Its important to note that Fertilizer can only be placed once the seed has been placed and cannot be added to already-growing crops.
