Pets
Pets are animal companions that can be obtained by killing bosses, completing quests or can be purchased from pet stores or though DLCs.
Pets can be placed on any of the players' farms, and will wander around the area which they were placed. There is one skill that benefits having pets out on the farm, zookeeper, which provides a coin 
bonus for every pet on the farm. Each creature can be pet, and they will display a different happy animation for every time the player pets them.
Pets can also be leashed using a Pet Leash, and will follow the player around on their travels. Pets will not take damage and will keep up with the player when leashed no matter what their speed is. The player can re-use the leash to unleash the pet from following them. There is one skill related to adventuring with pets, the promenade provides a speed bonus when running with a leashed pet.

Pet Shops
There are four pet shops throughout the world of Sun Haven; one in each region. Each pet shop has their own set of pets for the player to purchase. Some pets are shared between the various pet stores, just sold for different currency, while others are unique. Pets that appear in the Sun Haven, Nel'Vari, and Withergate Pet Shops on a rotation while pets in the Brinestone Deeps pet store are always static.

Downloadable Content
Some pets are from DLC packs available in the steam store] for real-world currency. Packs can range from $3.99 to $14.99.
Kickstarter Exclusive Pets
Two pets are exclusive to backers of certain reward tiers of the Sun Haven Kickstarter campaign: the black dragon and the tiger. Players who didn't back the kickstarter can obtain these items, by having a backer host a multiplayer session, and grabbing it from a chest.
